There have been a number of recently produced documentaries relating the story of Ford’s LeMans victory over Ferrari. Given the commercial release of the movie ‘Ford Versus Ferrari’, a lot of folks are remembering the real beginnings of the ‘Golden Era of Sports Cars’. Nevertheless, while the name Ford was preeminent, there would have been no such thing without Carroll Shelby and his peers.
