With Holley MSD Support, Miller Hits The Podium At King Of The Hammers
First Go For The AirForce
In his first major start with the MSD AirForce intake manifold, Rocksports star Erik Miller registered a podium finish at the King of the Hammers showdown. “The improvement in power with the AirForce intake was noticeable, and I mean right away,” said Miller, the youngest driver (25 in 2012) to win KOH and the only East Coast driver to ever win it.
Miller’s 4400 Class machine was powered by a standard-deck 427 cubic-inch LS7 custom-built by racing veteran Jeff Ginter. “The quality of construction is impressive, especially how it seals up. For a short-course motor, reliability is paramount – it’s even more important than horsepower. You need power, obviously, and this thing makes more than enough – 700 horsepower and 700 foot-pounds of torque – but for King of the Hammers, you need to know that what you have is going to make it to the end.”
